I could never see myself in a 9-5 job
June 17, 2015For Mohammad Asif, the journey has been fruitful. A PGDM 2012-14 batch student, his venture – OWLCITY Noida was an idea that was born out of a simple need – ‘late night delivery.’
Approximately 9 months ago, while the fear of end term exam results and placements was looming on the heads to him and his peers, Asif was discussing his plans with his friends on the rooftop of his residence. An entrepreneur by heart, he was not very keen on pursuing a 9-5 job. At 2 am in the morning, hunger pangs gripped them and there was nothing to eat in the house. Lethargy also followed as no one was willing to travel at that hour to get something to eat. At that juncture, it struck them that a delivery service of snacks during the wee hours of the night would be a great business.
Within hours of the idea, they conceptualized, planned and started working on the execution and set up of this business venture. The next morning, OWLCITY Noida was born. The main idea was to provide home delivery of cold drinks, food items and cigarettes during the night. The business gained momentum and within just 9 months of initiation, the orders started pouring in.
With hardwork, dedication and resilience, nothing is Impossible.
