January 12, 2019Aligning with the thought process of excellence in education, Asian Business School exposes its students to the International Business environment and has educational tie up with Oxford Business College, one of the renowned management education institutions in United Kingdom. Aim of this tie up is to develop skills of students in domain of International Business and International Research.
Oxford Study Trip is designed to provide students of Asian Business College an opportunity to get Executive Diploma in International Business while staying and carrying out research work at Oxford (UK). Along with the classroom study, the trip also includes some on-site visits to historical and cultural venues in Oxford city as well as London.
As a part of this program, a group of 40 students from 2016-18 PGDM Batch visited Oxford Business College from 21-27 November 2018. The tour provided students with a nice exposure to international business along with a decent component of fun and frolic. Students started the trip by carrying out a survey in UK markets and then comparing the results with the data they had captured back home in India. Thereafter they presented their findings in front of some eminent academicians of Oxford and also had classroom sessions with some renowned professors as well.
After the presentations were over, Ms. Gerry Takamura, Principal – Oxford Business College conferred upon the students the “Executive Diploma in International Business” on behalf of Asian Business School and Oxford Business College.
As an icing on the cake, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President – Asian Education Group who was already in London for being honoured by the House of Commons at British Parliament for his unrelenting contribution to the media and entertainment industry the world over also addressed the students.
Second half of the trip was more of leisure and fun with the whole bunch of students visiting various historical and tourist spots in Oxford City as well as London. Some of the students went on a shopping spree and even started digging deep into the Supply Chain Management of Primark Stores who sell accessories manufactured the world over at pretty economic prices.
On a personal note, an academician’s visit to Oxford is like a dream come true and certainly more than something to cherish for.
