The students of PGDM (15-17) batch were fortunate to attend an interactive session with Mr. Jai Ram Ramesh, the veteran Member of Parliament and former Union Minister for Environment, Government of India on 12th April, 2016 in AIMA.

While speaking about his book “To the brink and back”, Mr. Jai Ram Ramesh spoke about the defining era of 1991, when India under the leadership of former Prime Minister Mr. Narsimha Rao and under the able guidance of Mr. Man Mohan Singh, the former Union Minister for Finance; took a leap by initiating the idea of globalization.

According to the veteran parliamentarian, the success and development we are witnessing today is because of the policies of liberalization of the Narsimha Rao government. The interaction was chaired by Mr. Richard Recky, CEO, KPMG, India.

Asianites posed questions to Mr. Ramesh regarding the forecast of the Indian Economy and India’s chances of becoming a super power. The stalwart was happy to answer to the queries posed by the young igniting minds of Asian Business School.
